It is a sign of the times and the accelerated pace of change that our views about work have been upended over the past year. Most of us have lived through the snail’s pace of change in many organisations over the years and once considered flexible hours or the odd work from home day a massive breakthrough. Now, taking a look back, it really is incredible how quickly norms have shifted.
We had a great discussion at Fintech Talents North America on this very topic. A fantastic line up of speakers shared their unique experiences of the pandemic as they sought to meet the needs of both their employees and customers/members. Technology played a key role in both supporting employees (whether fully remote, hybrid or in person) whilst ensuring they continued to effectively serve their customers. Video collaboration tools have been crucial to enabling teams to work effectively and, increasingly, for client interaction.
The legacy of the pandemic on the future of work will be long lasting and will continue to evolve. Listen in for what is a fascinating discussion about how the ways in which we work have changed forever. Working remotely comes with its own set of challenges – tools, skills, space, infrastructure and culture play key roles in making it a success. For many organisations, a hybrid model seems to be the likely future model.
