For this episode of Future Identity Now, we were joined by Russ Cohn, General Manager of International at OCR Labs, to discuss online fraud, digital adoption and the future of embedded ID.
We chatted about the increasing need for remote identity, exacerbated by COVID which impacted those businesses reliant on face-to-face customer verification. Russ emphasised the pressing threat of identity fraud, with businesses across various sectors losing billions of dollars every year to bad actors.
Russ explained that in future businesses will need to embrace identity solutions which are unreliant on humans, in order to feel fully secure and re-allocate their teams onto high priority cases. He also shared his view that in future we will see embedded ID processes in the online customer journey, in order to meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
