I was sitting on a pallet late in the afternoon of of Day 2 of FinTECHTalents – the event was *almost* finished. The last sessions were winding down in the streams, the final FinTech companies were telling their stories on stage, one of our awesome live music acts was still entertaining the crowds while students sipped craft beer from plastic cups. I was about to open my laptop to see which one of our FinTech Stories companies had won our two day ‘Secret Shopper’ competition, when one of the speakers came up to sit next to me. “You know,” he said. “This didn’t feel like an industry conference – it felt like you were coming to meet with family.”
Our intention with FinTECHTalents was that it was never meant to be ‘an event’. It was meant to be the start of a community. A community that encouraged, that welcomed and nurtured both new and current tech talent for the financial services industry. Thank you to all who came and made FinTECHTalents such a success. In the words of Ceri Godwin, CIO Finance, Risk & SmartReg at Santander UK: “Victor & Team pulled off an awesome festival experience setting a new bar for conferences. The unique alchemy of academia, Fintechs & firms is a compelling proposition which FinTECHTalents has nailed. Inspired & excited.”
But don’t take our word for it. Listen to our community talk about the experience of FinTECHTalents.
