We launched FinTECHTalents Virtual / Spring with an over arching mission – to try and gather our FinTech community in an online space that was interesting, engaging and interactive. We counted ourselves lucky that we weren’t in an environment where we had to rush to migrate a previous physical event onto the internet. That is not to pass shade on the various attempts to produce Virtual events by other players during this global pandemic we have all been living through. But we had an opportunity to create an event that was Virtual-First. A gathering that was not passive, but offered up the best experience to those who actively participated in the agenda, platform and environment.
There were notices on Twitter of people, snuggled up on their sofa, laptops on their laps and coffee by their hands, who settled in to watch the conversations.
Loving this whole concept. Warm and comfy at home while engaging and learning at the @FinTECHTalents virtual conference with @bbdsoftware 🤸🏻♀️#FTT20Virtual #NewAge #goals pic.twitter.com/Is5w6ftscg

Industry insiders, opinion makers and business leaders jumped in the Live Chats, jumped on stage in the Interactive Sessions, and enthusiastically made new contacts and quick -fire conversation in our hugely popular Speed Networking area. In fact, the Speed Networking proved so popular – we opened it up to be live all through the event – giving even more options to our community on where to spend their time.
All in all we had 61 Speakers over two stages lend their expertise to FTT Virtual / Spring
Thank you @FinTECHTalents, @HelloMcQueen, @moyle_l, and Dean Butler for a fantastic discussion on the #futureofwork and the benefits of an age-diverse workforce! #FTT20Virtual

Our Main Stage had eight session looking at everything from Innovation Theatre, Open Finance, The Future of Work and Entrepreneur-ism. While Elliot Limb, Chief Customer Officer won our Lunch Time Debate – Is Innovation Impossible at Incumbent Banks? Many others gathered their favourite quotes from the day. Great sound bites include:
“We do innovation not because it is easy, but because it is hard.” – Roshan Rohatgi, Senior Innovation Lead (AI), NatWest
“Bankers are Magpies.” – Mark Mullen, CEO, Atom Bank
