Content, Community & Experience – digital by design and created for the North American market
As the realities of Covid-19 and what it meant for our industry became apparent, it also became clear that a return to normal or something approximating it was not imminent. Though March seems a very long time ago, in the past few months, we, like many others across the financial services sector, took a step back and reflected on how we would change how we work and how we could continue to deliver value to our partners, clients and our community in a rapidly changing world.
The team had been discussing the creation of virtual events for some time as we recognised the ways in which they allowed us to reach well beyond our usual markets and participants and grow our community beyond the limits of physical events. We understood how they could democratise access to our content and community as the ability to travel and all the associated costs would not be a barrier.
Things were changing and then things were changing all at once.
Suddenly those plans were accelerated…within the space of a few months we had created and launched the first in our virtual event series – FTT Virtual Spring. We also quickly realised that the opportunity to deliver the value that our community derives from physical and now virtual events- great content, great connections and the chance to be an active participant- extended across all the markets in which we had worked and FTT Virtual North America was set into motion.
We know from the experience of FTT Virtual Spring that although virtual events do not have borders – participants from 45 countries joined us on the day – that markets remain distinct. To learn about fintech in North America, no matter where you join the event from, you need informed and curated content and speakers with the right expertise to bring you up to speed on the State of the Nation, Open Banking (North American-style), a lively debate on where best in class innovation comes from (the incumbents or smaller, more local providers), trends in core banking infrastructure, the digitalisation of Wealth Management and much, much more.
From the mainstage to a range of interactive sessions where participants can really get their ‘ (sanitized) hands dirty’ by joining in the conversation, alongside a fantastic range of exhibitors and match-making networking sessions, FTT Virtual North America is an exciting addition to our growing virtual portfolio.
