The Future of Payments: Insights from Adam Gagen at Revolut
We sat down with Adam Gagen, Global Head of Government Affairs at Revolut late last year to discuss the exciting developments across the payments landscape and at Revolut. Adam is at the coalface of discussions around regulation and policy and spends much of his time working with ministries of finance and central banks, advocating for regulations that ultimately benefit their customers by making transactions better, faster, and cheaper.
Adam shed light on what he sees as promising new energy and direction from the UK government and regulators, pointing to a renewed emphasis on innovation and competitiveness in the financial sector.
One of the standout developments he discussed was the (then) upcoming release of the National Payments Vision, which aims to integrate cutting-edge technologies such as stable coins and the potential for a digital pound. Additionally, Revolut is set to revolutionise cross border payments with its innovative product, Revolut Pay, designed to facilitate seamless global transactions for both merchants and consumers.
