Gareth Williams, Founder and CEO, YellowDog discusses customer digital journeys, delivering solutions in the cloud and the increasing amount of data processing that needs to be handled by financial services companies.
“From an opportunities perspective the amount of data processing that is needed to be done by financial institutions is ever-growing, ” says Williams. “One of the challenges with that is the way that chips have sped up. They’re no longer keeping pace anymore. There’s new types of chips that are arriving and new types of different computing power so our platform can help people access that different type of computing power whether it’s FPGAs or IPUs, so chips specifically for artificial intelligence. I see automation and artificial intelligence being a big opportunity, again helping banks and other financial institutions make better and quicker decisions and also helping them lower some costs.”
