Craig Mackay, CEO at Sharktower discusses whether your project management is smart enough for the future you are trying to create.

“I’ve been doing this for 20 years. I’m frustrated by the fact that we still see the same waste,” says Mackay. “If you look at the latest Standish report, you look at McKinsey Black Swan, but nothing has changed in 20 years no matter what methodology we’ve done, no matter which technologies, mainly because we responded to project management problems not business problems. But we still see 45% of IT projects overrun,  we still see 56% of them fail to deliver the value and outcomes they are supposed to. 42 percent of banking projects between 2011 and 2016 were unsatisfactory, that hasn’t changed.”
