Thrive Partners returns to FinTECHTalents hosting our Strategy Stage on Day 2 of the Festival. Here CEO and founder, Pam Bateson talks about their story so far and how supporting people to do their jobs with “with flair and creativity” is a true measure of success.
So, what’s new? Any new products, super star team members, client wins? Can you tell us some of your greatest successes over the past 12 months?
Thrive’s on demand coaching and mentoring offering continues to grow at over 100% year-in-year with all our marquee clients expanding their relationship with us. More and more users are accessing and highly prizing their 30-minute capsule coaching conversations. One of our users this month described our coaches as “doing real listening, not work listening” and another was surprised at how “we were able to get to the crux of the issue within two to three minutes”.
The business has also deployed their tech to one of the world’s largest coaching providers so they can host their coaching, mentoring and consulting offering on our platform. We have three more platform deployments being designed and delivered in the months ahead. These opportunities, along with our Clear Insights, are compelling for our clients and we’re continuing to facilitate the recruitment of dynamic new members of the team and continuing to make our platform and our business world class. All this in less than four years…. not bad for a start-up.
Your business is all about ‘coaching’ – aside from the business elements, what is the most satisfying part of mentoring, training and coaching – what does success look like for you?
Our business is about giving people access to real time experts who can help people in their moment of need. Whether it is a coach, financial advisor, teacher or lawyer.
We gather insights from all these conversations and use them to help improve the business by highlighting the aspects of the business that work well and the areas that need to be improved.
When these two elements come together and you are able to give people meaningful and memorable conversations that allow both employees and businesses to enact with something that makes them stronger, clearer and more productive or confident it is both rewarding and compelling.
Our success comes from helping people feel as though they can perform confidently and competently, but also to help shape business and society, so they are designed to respond to what people really need to be able to fulfil their roles with flair and creativity.
Can you give us a spoiler on the stories you plan to bring to FinTECHTalents 2019?
We have learnt over the four years what different genders, generations and geographies really need from their employers. We understand what is making their life in work harder and what some of the best performing people are wanting to do professionally and personally. Through our tech, we know what the myths are and what the truth is about employee experience. We look forward to sharing more about how we do this and how we are making a real difference.
What’s next? What do you have planned for 2020?
Further the growth of our offering in the US and enhance our platform capability.
