At the Fintech Talents Festival 2022 Kirsteen Harrison, Environmental Advisor to blockchain fintech Zumo Enterprise shared her views on decarbonizing crypto.
Along with our 2000+ participants, she also took the opportunity of being at the Festival to learn more about trends in fintech and to network with peers.
Working with Zumo Enterprise from the outset, Kirsteen ensured that ESG principles were embedded into the organisation. That has since broadened out to include services for enterprise clients and a focus on the important work of decarbonizing crypto. That also involves partners from across the ecosystem and entities such as the Crypto Climate Accord and the World Economic Forum Sustainability Crypto Coalition to develop industry guidance.
The decarbonization journey has gathered pace and Zumo Enterprise are both well positioned and keen to share that knowledge so that others can come up to speed quickly. There is a lot to discuss and debate when it comes to the energy consumption of crypto – sometimes heated debates that are needed to move things forward.
Kirsteen and Zumo Enterprise have a lot of learning to share. Listen to the full interview to benefit from that expertise.
There is a lot to come in this space so keep an eye out for future developments and to continue to learn from what has and hasn’t worked, including how crypto compares to other sectors on the journey to net zero.
