Katia Walsh, Chief Strategy and AI Officer, Levi Strauss joins us for our ongoing series – FTT Chats – where we sit down with the great and the good of FinTech to discuss innovation, new entrants, and emerging technologies.
We spoke to Katia Walsh about her unique role at Levi Strauss which is a fusion of AI and Strategy. She spoke about some of the opportunities created through the use of AI and the extent to which it can be ‘life changing’ for consumers providing a predictive, proactive and personalised experience for billions. The ability to personalise everything from communication to the fit of our jeans means that we no longer live in a world of one size fits all.
This, however, does come with challenges and careful consideration needs to be given to data privacy, ethics around data and regulation as technology can be used for good or bad.
As Walsh notes, clear, transparent customer communication is vital. Consumers should not need a PhD in consumer privacy or data or a law degree to understand how their data is being used.
