This week we share a conversation with Stephen Richardson, SVP from Fireblocks.
Fireblocks is a secure digital asset infrastructure company. They provide technology that empowers custodians (from global financial institutions such as BNY Mellon through to market making firms and hedge funds) to securely manage digital asset private keys, interact with different participants in the ecosystem and all related settlement activities.
The tech can support everyone from very small companies right through to large financial institutions. Stephen speaks to some of the challenges of working with larger providers, who may well be very new to the space and, of course, often have complex legacy technology stacks.
Stephen brings clarity to complexity and understands the cultural, structural and technology barriers that pervade large institutions. Add in the regulatory concerns of systemically important financial institutions and it is clear that knowledge is crucial to working with large, incumbent providers.
Will the trends of big financial institutions wanting to engage with/explore the use cases of digital assets continue through the coming year or might there be an easier entry point for banks?
Listen in to learn more from Stephen Richardson from Fireblocks about the roadmap to success.
No doubt digital assets will return as a key topic of discussion at the next Fintech Talents Festival on the 13 & 14 of November back at the Brewery in London
