On 12th July our community came together for the launch of FTT DeFi, the one-day show where we explored the key opportunities and challenges in decentralised finance, digital assets, the metaverse and Web 3.
During the day, we sat down with Lena Rantsevich, Co-Founder of Your.Justice.Life, a platform for decentralised justice. Users can create their own jurisdictions for family, community, work etc. and upload a set of laws to be judged by.
Lena explains that a key element of the platform is the reputation layer. “People can create a digital reputation which is interoperable and wherever you travel in Web 2 or Web 3 you carry that reputation with you.” This will allow individuals to understand not just who they are interacting with online, but understand more deeply that person’s behaviour, endorsements and values.
The conversation explores how blockchain can enhance personal sovereignty and responsibility online, as well as supporting global migration and financial inclusion. As the DeFi ecosystem and the metaverse continues to evolve, Lena highlights the need to develop protocols, cultural codes and values to govern these spaces.
